Basic Skills for Beginners: Class #1 - Clothesline Fabric Bowl

The Clothesline Fabric Bowl class is the first project in our new Basic Skills for Beginners series.   In this class you will learn how to:

   wind a bobbin,
   insert the bobbin into the bobbin case correctly,
   thread your sewing machine,
   thread your needle using the automatic threader,
   lift and lower the foot,
   use the reverse/forward button,
   use the needle up/down button,
   adjust the speed setting,
   use magic clips,
   use basting glue,
   manipulate the shape of your project,
   how to sew using the zigzig stitch,
   how to adjust the stitch width and length,
   how to taper off the end of your project

Kit cost is $25.00 per student and may be paid at the start of class.  The price includes a student discount. 

Any other items purchased on the day of class will be discounted by 15%.

Skill Details: You don't need any sewing skills to take this class.
Materials Included: The class kit is $25.00 and is required to attend this class. The kit includes everything you need to complete this fun project.
Requirements: Bring your sewing machine (in good working condition) (your machine must be capable of sewing a zig-zag stitch), the power cord and foot pedal, the user's manual, empty bobbin, and basic sewing supplies as listed in Class Guidelines on the website. Specifically, you need a small fabric scissors, fabric clips. Please bring a drink, bagged lunch or snack, sweater, and a face mask.
