Sewing: Bernie Mittens

Learn how to make warm mittens from recycled sweaters and/or fleece -- just like Bernie Sanders' mittens. So many combinations of colors and patterns! We have a class kit for you with portions of sweaters and cuffs, so you can complete your first pair of mittens in class.  Bring your sewing machine and basic sewing notions: scissors, pins, measuring and marking tools, etc.

Bring your sewing machine in good working order with extra bobbins.  If you need to use one of our sewing machines, please call ahead to reserve one.
