Spring Chicken Pin Cushion



Make a cute and practical pin cushion, filled with crushed walnut shells, to help keep pins and needles sharp.  Add embellishments of beads, yarn, etc., to personalize these chickens.  You'll want to make some for gifts!  Beginner friendly and fun for all levels.  Kits include all materials needed (excluding thread and basic sewing supplies).  Bring your sewing machine and basic sewing notions: scissors, pins, measuring and marking tools, etc.
Bring your sewing machine in good working order with extra bobbins.  If you need to use one of our machines, please call ahead to reserve one.  


Requirements: Bring your basic sewing supplies as listed in Class Guidelines on the website. Specifically, Sewing machine, and basic sewing notions: scissors, pins measuring and marking tools. A personal Pressing Station, small ironing mat and travel iron help lesson the wait for a iron. Please bring a drink, bagged lunch or snack, sweater, and a face mask.
Instructor: Randee Hamblin
Instructor Bio: Randee Hamblin has been teaching sewing and serger classes for decades, most recently at G Street Fabrics in Rockville, MD. She has a relaxed and encouraging style, to ensure that each student has a successful learning experience. She also has numerous fiber art hobbies, and is one of 20 artists whose works are sold at New View Fiber Works in Leonardtown, on the Square.
